The e-Disclosure Information Project

I qualified as a solicitor in 1980 and have been a legal IT consultant specialising in litigation support and e-disclosure since 1993.

The aim of the Project is to bring together litigation practitioners, their corporate clients, judges and suppliers with a common interest in improving the management of electronic documents in litigation.

The e-Disclosure Information Project is sponsored by the companies whose logos appear on this site.

Electronic disclosure stands at the cross-roads of two technical subjects - the CPR and the technology solutions. I write and speak about it, often in tandem with HHJ Simon Brown QC of Birmingham Civil Justice Centre.

The main information vehicle for the Project is my blog which is updated frequently with news and views on e-disclosure topics.

Mercantile Court Standard Directions

HHJ Simon Brown QC has just released a standard form of Mercantile Court Directions. A commentary follows but see the forms here:

ILTA INSIGHT 2008

I spoke at this conference on 15 April with Mark Surguy of Pinsent Masons and HHJ Simon Brown QC. Mark summarised the considerable amount of ground covered in the last few months. I talked about where responsibility lies for electronic disclosure, and Judge Brown covered the court's expectations and proposed new forms of technology questionnaire and directions order. Read my reports on ILTA 2008.

E-Disclosure Conferences 2008

There are several other conferences on E-Disclosure in London this year. I have put up a list of them. Everyone expecting to have to deal with e-Disclosure should go to at least one of them.

E-Disclosure Training

I give training for law firm and corporate clients, varied according to their needs. It covers not just the CPR, but also the sources of electronic information, the required discussions and agreements with other parties, tactical points, and the tools and services available to handle, or to help you handle, all aspects of e-disclosure.

If you cannot access the blog, it is probably because your IT department has a blanket restriction. Ask them nicely and they may make an exception.
